    Bale Gaerth Personal and early life


    Bale was born in Cardiff, Wales, from parents Frank, a schoolteacher and Debbie, an operations manager ; He attended school in Whitchurch Eglwys Newydd Primary. He is the nephew of former Cardiff City footballer Chris Pike. When he was in school he first came to the attention of Southampton at the age of 9, when he was playing in a tournament with six against six first club, Cardiff Civil Service Football Club Growing up, his football hero was fellow Welshman and Manchester United, Ryan Giggs .

    Bale attended Whitchurch High School in Cardiff. He was a keen sportsman and played football alongside future Wales captain Sam Warburton in rregbi . At age 14, he described the running distance 100 meters in 11.4 seconds. Due to its superior skills in football, the school psychologist Gwyn Morris, wrote special rules that limited the Balen into the game, he was forbidden to play with his left foot . While in Whitchurch, Bale trained at Southampton academy in Bath, and was in some doubt if Southampton would give him a scholarship because he was short.

    Despite being only 16 years old at the time, he helped U-18 school to win the Cardiff & Vale Senior. He left school in the summer of 2005 with the rank A. In the last school year, he was awarded the PE department's his sport services. In a presentation, Morris commented:

    "Gareth has a fierce determination to succeed and to achieve his personal goals. He is one of the most generous individuals I have had the pleasure to help educate."

    Bale lives in Madrid with his wife Emma Rhys-Jones, his girlfriend from the school . Their first child was born at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff on 21 October 2012  and was named Alba Violet
