    Chile in flames

Chileans criticized the country's president, Michelle Bachelet and other authorities for delayed response to the fire very worst in the history of the country, which until now have dedicated their lives to 7 persons.

City of Santa Olga is completely flattened by the flames and its inhabitants could do nothing but watch from afar to their homes from fire devoured unstoppable. 85 individual foci of the fire scorch central and southern areas of Chile and so far burned over 190,000 hectares, an area two times larger than New York.

While local media brought allegations that some local officials say firefighters left the city of Santa Olga to save their lives, because the flames were too intense. It is learned that over 7,000 people have lost their homes and hundreds are housed in emergency centers. Besides criticism of slow response of people to the government, it seems that experts blame the authorities.

According to them, the fact that the number of victims is so low thankfully means that the risk of fires was observed early on, but did not react quickly enough to save the properties, fields or forests. Moreover, the victims were mainly police officers and firefighters, something that shows that people long had fled their homes.

Meanwhile, many countries in Latin America, but also of the world, and equipment sent to Chile to help fight the blaze. US and Russia have sent planes called holding large quantities of water and used in such emergencies.
