Benoit Hamon, officially a candidate for President in France

Benoit Hamon will be the candidate of the French Socialist Party in Presidential Elections of April, in France, after winning Sunday's runoff.

Former Minister of Education, which seeks inter to establish a basic level of income of 600 euros per adult, beat former Prime Minister Manuel in the second round of voting.

However, the Socialists are not expected to achieve satisfactory results in the presidential election of spring, this also because outgoing President Francois Hollande, who said that earlier that he would not seek a second term in office, has a lot of support low in opinion polls.

Conservative Francois , leader of the far-right National Front, Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron who is running as an independent, top polls so far.
