    Spectacular robbery of diamonds, 7 arrested in Netherlands


    Five men and two women were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the theft of diamonds worth 75 million euros in 2005, at the Amsterdam Schipol airport.

    News have announced the Dutch authorities, under which the detainees, all Dutch nationals, have been arrested in Amsterdam and Vlanecia Spain.

    Members of the group, armed and dressed as airport employees, stole the diamonds when they bear on a plane.

    Some of the stones were retrieved value by car during the chase the robbers, but the rest 40 million euros has not yet been found.

    Correspondents stated that the robbery in question is the largest of its kind ever made. Diamonds and other valuable items were stolen in a high security area of ​​the airport, after looters broke through an APC.

    Seven persons were arrested in various police operations on Friday and Saturday, on suspicion of extortion and money laundering.

    Diamonds will be sent to Antwerp, Belgium, the European capital of diamonds, when looters perform their act 11 years ago.
